Official Wisconsin GED Transcript Information

Whether you are looking at continuing your education beyond completing your high school equivalency testing or need to prove your education level to a potential employer, obtaining a copy of your Wisconsin GED transcript is not a difficult process.
  1. Information Needed

    • To obtain an official transcript from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, you will need the following information: name at the time of testing, date of birth, Social Security number, telephone number with area code and address. Transcripts will not be processed without a signature.

    Fees

    • As of 2010, the standard fee for an official transcript is $15. If you need your request to be processed within 48 hours, you will have to pay an additional fee of $25. Additional copies are available for $2 each when ordered at the same time as your original request. The Wisconsin DPI accepts check, money order, Visa and MasterCard payments.
