How to Find My A-Level Results

Universities in the United Kingdom normally base their admission policies around the results you obtained in your A-levels. If you are an adult looking to return to higher education after a long time spent working, you may have lost the original certificates containing your A-level results. Fortunately, most schools keep thorough records; even if the school you attended doesn't or has since closed, finding your A-level results is simply a matter of contacting the relevant local authority.

Instructions

    • 1

Contact the school you attended. They may have kept records of your A-level results and may be able to supply replacement certificates.

    • 2

Contact the local authority for the school you attended. The local authority may have taken over the school records. You can find the contact details for your local authority on the website of the Department for Children, Schools and Families (see Resources).

    • 3

Contact the examination board which awarded the A-level certificates. Either your school or your local authority should be able to give you the contact details for this organization.
