Contact Cessna's "Learn to Fly" program and request information on the Citation and for any certified flight schools near you that offer Cessna Citation training.
Go to the Cessna Flight Training headquarters in Kansas if your time and schedule allow, and train in the Citation with the Cessna maker's pilots and instructors. Bring your medical certificate, FAA pilot's license and logbook to the flight school. They will also need a copy of your U.S. Passport, Social Security number and driver's license.
Decide what your goals are for the endorsement on your pilot's license regarding the Citation. If you want to fly it professionally consider taking an Enhanced 6-Day Program. Such a course is offered at the Jet Aeronautical Training School. You will spend 24 hours in classroom and ground school and 10 hours in the air behind the controls of the Citation.
Enroll in the Basic Citation program if you will be renting and flying the aircraft on a recreational level. You spend 24 hours in ground school and classroom settings and 6 hours behind the aircraft controls and in the air.
Ask your chosen flight school for any credentials or experience levels with their instructors and teachers. Ask what the student-to-Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) ratio is for their programs. If money is an issue ask if they have financing or offer scholarships.
Apply for Cessna's pilot training scholarships if money is an issue. When talking to the Cessna Learn to Fly staff ask them for applications for scholarship funds.
