Visit the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) website and click "Find a School" at the bottom of the page. Sort by state, school or early childhood center
Scroll through the listings to find a Waldorf school near you. If you do not see a school near you, there may be Waldorf-inspired schools that are not registered with the AWSNA. A Waldorf-inspired school may be combining traditional educational methods with Waldorf philosophies.
Contact your local public school district to ask if there are any Waldorf-inspired charter schools in your district. Charter schools are independently run schools that receive funding from traditional public school districts.
Contact school districts that border your district for Waldorf-inspired charter schools. Many residents that live in areas bordering another school district can receive a permit for their child to attend that district's school if his educational needs are not being fulfilled in the local school district.
Contact your nearest Waldorf school to ask if they know of any Waldorf programs in your area. Many Waldorf schools know of homeschooling groups or other Waldorf-inspired programs in nearby areas.
If there are no Waldorf or Waldorf-inspired schools in surrounding school districts, you can choose to homeschool your child using a Waldorf curriculum. Lesson plans are available, and homeschooling groups can be formed. Search the internet for Waldorf schools in your area through a search engine.
