Health Care Project Management Certification

Health care project management certification is intended for those who want to improve on various managerial areas, including strategic planning, organizational change, customer relationship management, and multiproject management.
  1. Skills

    • Upon completion, participants will be able to enhance or acquire skills to address specific issues within their work position, including cost pressures, new payment and reimbursement systems, innovative technology and the advancement of science.

    Enrollment

    • There is no requirement for individuals to enroll into the program. Anyone from medical personnel and supervisors to health care students are encouraged to enroll to learn more about this interesting field.

    Prerequisites

    • If certification is used to improve management skills, the minimum requirement is an associate's degree from an accredited college, university or technical school or through work experience. If the program is geared toward advanced studies beyond an undergraduate degree, the requirement is a bachelor's degree.

    Course Outline

    • The program will consist of four to six courses and can be completed within six to nine months. The courses are divided into modules and may pertain to leadership skill development, organizational change management, finances and accounting, project management fundamentals for health care, and leadership and communication management.
