This nationwide chain of schools has trained over 100 million drivers to be safer since its inception in 1974. Courses vary by state, but examples of offerings include a general driver's safety course, aggressive driving classes (which are generally court-ordered,) and classes on drug and alcohol use in regards to driving (which may be part of a court sentence.) The National Traffic Safety Institute offers online classes where available.

This Nevada school has been operating since 1996 and claims to have helped over 2,100,000 drivers. Completion of the online course means three credits added to a driver's record. The class can be taken all at once or saved and done in several sessions, with a test at the end that can be retaken. Upon completion of the course, the school sends the certificate directly to the court or to the student.
