Columbia College in Sonora is a junior college offering a wide range of educational opportunities, including academic and vocational programs to prepare students for a variety of career paths.
Columbia College has on-campus residential dormitories for students that are independently owned and operated by the Pogacar Family Trust. Although the available housing is affiliated with Columbia College, the institution is not directly in charge of the management or maintenance of the dorms. The campus is laid out in a wooded lakeside area that is peaceful and rustic. The college campus is located in sparsely populated Tuolumne County in the central and western part of the state.

The College of the Redwoods in Eureka is located between the scenic giant redwood groves of Northern California and the Pacific Ocean. The Eureka campus is 270 miles north of San Francisco where students can obtain an associate of arts (AA) degree or certificates of achievement or recognition in various programs. All of the college’s programs are designed for easy transfer into the University of California system after completion of the junior college requirements.
Residence halls are available to students at the College of the Redwoods Eureka campus. On-campus living is limited to 160 students in two dormitories. The residents are a diverse crowd of students from all sorts of hometowns and backgrounds that form a community of student just steps away from class. Residents have access to fitness facilities in the evening as well as laundry rooms, a computer lab and free admission to all college events.

Sierra College in Rocklin offers more than 120 associate degree programs in the arts and sciences as well as 55 career and technical certification programs. In addition to the diverse academic offerings, Sierra has been recognized as one of the top five athletic programs by the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators for six straight years.
Sierra College offers co-ed residence halls and a single-gender residence hall. The halls charge a flat fee per semester for rent, utilities, garbage pickup and a meal plan. Space is limited in the residence halls. There are 72 double-occupancy rooms on the Sierra campus. Co-ed halls are made up of suites with a shared, joining bathroom while the single-gender hall has community restroom facilities.
