Flip through your calendar and remove any pages that you do not need or use regulary. For example, if you do not keep up with birthdays and anniversaries, then take out that page.
Print an hourly schedule for extra busy days. This works well in a planner that does not have an hourly schedule. Print a day calendar page from a free, online website like Mint Printables. Cut out the page with a pair of scissors and use a paper clip to attach it to a page on your monthly calendar. Repeat on busy days.
Write down important events and meetings with colored pens. If you keep track of your family's schedule, consider using a different colored pen for each person's important events. Your eyes will get used to the colors, and you will begin to remember which one belongs to which family member.
Use sticky notes. Sticky notes make it easy for you to write down an event that may change or a party that you haven't decided whether to attend. Best of all, you can remove the sticky note instead of marking out the event and making a mess on your calendar.
Bind the pages you are not using with a binder clip. Simply squeeze open the clip and attach it to the first page all the way to the page you are working on. This will make flipping to the most current page easy every time.
