Begin a new page after the final page of your paper. Type "Works Cited" at the top of the new page and hit "enter" twice to start the citation on a new line.
Type the author's last name and first name, separated by a comma and followed by a period. For example: "Lastname, Firstname."
After the period and a space, write the title of the book in italics, followed by a period. Make sure to capitalize each letter of the book's name. If your computer does not have italics, you may put the title within quotation marks. For example: "Title of Book."
Turn through the first few pages of the book until you find the publishing information. Write down the city of the book's publication, followed by a colon. Type in the book publisher, followed by a comma, then the year of publication. For example: "Place of Publication: Publisher, Publication year."
After a space, enter the publication medium, followed by a period. For example: "Print."
If the citation takes up more than one line, indent the second line.
