Cite the video's author and date of publication for an in-text APA citation. The author may be the organization that owns the YouTube account, not necessarily the person in the video. For example, (Paramount Pictures, 2008). In MLA format, you simply need to include the video's author in parentheses or in the text of the paper. For example: (Cooking Light Videos).
Use the YouTube link, title, site (in this case YouTube), date the video was created and date the video was accessed in an MLA style citation. For example: http://www.youtube.com/user/cookinglight. "Spinach Salad" YouTube. 24 April 2008. Web. 22 July 2011.
Include the author, the date posted, the title of the video, the term "video file," the phrase "retrieved from" and the link of the YouTube video for an APA style citation. For example: Movie Trailers. (2009, September 10). Roman Holiday [Video file]. Retrieved from http://www.youtube.com/user/movietrailers.
