    University of Michigan, Ann Arbor

    • Social work professionals across the country respect the school of social work at Michigan, which received the number two spot on U.S. News' listing of top social work schools. The undergraduate social work program began in 1921, while the graduate school began 30 years later. Graduate programs at Michigan include a joint doctoral program in social work and social science.
