How Find Out Your GPA

Your grade point average is the measuring stick for your high school and college academic success, and some companies use your GPA to find out if you are an ideal candidate for a job after you graduate. You can find out what your current GPA is in school, and use the information to find out how you can maintain your current marks or earn a better GPA.

Instructions

    • 1

Find out your grades from your professors or by viewing your semester report card.

    • 2

      Find out how your school assigns points for plus and minus grades. A common point system is: A = 4; A- = 3.67; B+ = 3.33; B = 3; B- = 2.67; C+ = 2; C- = 1.67; D+ = 1.33; D = 1; D- = .67; and F = 0.

    • 3

Add up the numbers that correspond with the grades you received. This will help you find the total for all of your grades. Divide the number by the number of grades on your list. This is your GPA.
