Founded in San Fransisco in 1929, the Academy of Art University's School of Industrial Design offers both a Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts. The program emphasizes sustainable mobility, product life cycle, styling, comfort, safety and reliability in automobile, motorcycle, marine, aircraft, commercial transport, personal mobility and public transit design. To apply, students must submit a completed application, application fee, high school transcripts or GED, SAT or ACT scores and a portfolio of original work.
The Savannah School of Art and Design's Industrial Design Program offers both a Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts. The program focuses on teaching students cognitive thinking, design inquiry and creative problem-solving skills by assigning coursework that mirrors a professional work environment. Incoming students must provide high school transcripts or GED, completed application form and fee. No portfolio or previous design experience is necessary for admission.
