Students have the opportunity to complete the programs individually or combined for 800 hours of credited training in massage therapy. The massage technician course is the foundation for the program, and its completion is a prerequisite for all other courses. Class sizes are generally small, and the school includes a kitchen, handicap restroom and three private treatment rooms for practice and professional use. The school is well integrated into the region, with volunteer events and the Sports Massage Team. The curriculum focuses on a 720-hour comprehensive training with 23 different training subsets that include deep tissue, Swedish massage, aromatherapy and energy work. This school offers a number of massage certifications for beginner and advanced massage therapists. The basic, 150-hour massage therapy course costs $1,100 and is taught by Patricia Oberg, with classes running about six weeks. The school also offers 300-hour advanced massage therapy and 500-hour professional massage therapy courses. Students can enroll in advanced courses for certified therapists that include hot stone work, lymphatic drainage, shiatsu and Thai massage.
