Gwinnett Dental Career Academy offers a 10-week basic dental assisting certification program that provides the basic skills required to work in a dental office or practice. Students train for jobs as chairside assistants, sterilization technicians and hygiene assistants. The program is designed to give individuals the opportunity to work in the dental field, before committing to a dental hygiene or dental technology program. Upon completion, students earn a Dental Assisting certificate, a Georgia Department of Human Resources Radiology Certificate and a CPR certificate, which meet the Georgia requirements for a job as a dental assistant.

The Aviation Institute of Maintenance is located in Lawrenceville, one of the largest towns in Gwinnett County. The school offers an array of two-year programs in aviation mechanics that are approved by the Federal Aviation Administration. The programs include Aviation Maintenance Technician, Airframe Maintenance Technician and Avionics Technician.
