De Anza College is located in Cupertino, California in Santa Clara County. They offer automotive classes during the day for full-time students and at night for part time students. WyoTech, a trade college with campuses in several locations, has a campus in Fremont, California. Fremont is located about 10 miles north of Santa Clara County. The Fremont campus offers the Applied Automotive Technology diploma, which is certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. Students may earn the diploma with concentrations in advanced diagnostics, automotive diagnostics and service management.

Chabot College offers two associate of science degrees in automotive technology, a general degree and a degree with an emphasis in BMW Manufacture Training.
