Heavy Equipment Operator Training Colleges

Heavy equipment operators are in high demand on construction sites, earning excellent wages operating bull dozers, backhoes and loaders. However, these machines can be dangerous if improperly operated, so heavy equipment operators need training for their safety and the safety of all working on site. Heavy equipment operator training programs fall into two categories: level 1 provides skills to operate heavy equipment, while level 2 provides training with excavators and advanced techniques. Many of the schools that offer heavy equipment operator training are members of the National Association of Heavy Equipment Training Schools, or NAHETS, the nation's authority on heavy equipment education.
