What Is the Attrition Rate at Colorado Technical University?

Colorado Technical University is a multiple campus and online private university that offers a variety of programs at the associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctorate levels. CTU has more than 21,000 enrolled students and is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
  1. Attrition Rate

    • No figures are published for the college's attrition rate, but CTU's graduation rate is 25 percent. This figure, however, can not be inverted to represent an attrition rate of 75 percent. This is due to the fact that unknown variables, such as time-to-degree completion, affect the university's graduation rate. For example, if the cut-off for degree completion is six years, students who take eight years to complete their degrees are counted as drop-outs in the reporting data.

    Programs

    • CTU offers degree programs at the associate, bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels in the fields of criminal justice and legal studies, health sciences, engineering and computer science, information systems and technology, and business and management.

    Tuition

    • As of November 2010, the cost per credit hour for CTU's online bachelor's programs is $340 and is $290 on-campus. The cost per credit hour for master's programs is $648 and $600 for on-campus.
