Located in a center of the Italian Renaissance, the Florence Design Academy offers graduate-level courses in interior design. All classes are in English, though the school also offers Italian. From the beginning, students are taught to approach design using high-tech software, such as 3D Studio Max, Flash, Rhino 3D, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, GoLive, Acrobat and InDesign. Classes begin each year in September and January.

Kingston University, located just outside London, offers a three-year undergraduate program in interior design. Students take courses in communication skills, interior-design principles, the history of architecture, creative careers management, technical studies, and contemporary issues in research, with optional modules in a foreign language, art and design history, and communicating art and design history. Students are also expected to complete a dissertation project.
