University of North Carolina School of Dentistry aims to promote dental care throughout the nation by way of excellent teaching, research, service and patient care. The school offers a doctorate of dental surgery, oral biology and epidemiology. Additionally, there are programs in endodontics, operative dentistry, oral and maxillofacial pathology, oral and maxillofacial radiology, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontology and prosthodontics. The school also has a bachelor's program in dental hygiene. Students in all fields receive hands-on training at the school’s dental clinic.

The Indiana University School of Dentistry offers a certificate program in dental assisting, an associate of science degree in dental hygiene, a bachelor of science in public health dental hygiene and a doctorate in dental surgery. Masters degrees are offered in dental materials, operative dentistry, preventive dentistry and periodontics. The school runs a clinic offering pediatric and adult services and orthodontic care. The services are available to the public at lower-than-average rates.

University of Washington School of Dentistry has been in operation for more than 50 years. Students in the programs have access to state-of-the-art facilities and technology. The school offers a doctor of dental surgery degree and postdoctoral programs in endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, oral medicine, oral biology and oral pathology. Residency training is available in oral and maxillofacial surgery, pediatric dentistry and general dentistry. Residents serve at local hospitals over a four-year period.
