Adult Education PhD Programs

Most adult education PhD programs are customized based on each student's learning and career objectives, and they typically include coursework, research, field work and a dissertation. Some universities offer two doctorate programs: a PhD for students seeking research-based careers in adult education and a Doctor's of Education for students seeking to use their skills in a classroom or academic setting. Before enrolling in an adult education PhD program, make sure the college or university is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
