The NCC is one of the world's leading providers of information technology, also known as IT, certification programs. Business education is part of NCC's syllabus for a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Business Information Systems and the NCC International Diploma in Computer Studies. The syllabus also includes modules in computer technology, systems development, organizational and business structures, web design, programming methods, fundamentals of hardware and operating systems and networking. The test on the business communication unit revolves around communication skills, business document interpretation and report writing skills. Your test results account for 85 percent of your final mark, course work determines the remaining 15 percent.

    • This section of the business communication unit develops general communication skills required for an information technology worker team member. This includes using clear and precise language and appropriate style.

    Business Document Interpretation

    • The test will measure your document interpreting skills. This includes understanding business reports and technical documentation, and the ability to respond adequately within the framework of a contemporary office.

    Written Communication

    • The test will assess your ability to compose business letters and memos in accordance with current formats and techniques. You must demonstrate your ability to write business reports with an appropriate layout, using the correct vocabulary and style. You will also need to show you can collect, organize and tabulate raw data so as to represent it graphically with charts, histograms and cumulative frequency curves.
