Finishing college with an education degree is typically the first step toward becoming a teacher. However, there are plenty of careers in the private sector that utilize the skills you learned in college that do not necessarily involve working at a public school. Skilled educators are just as needed in the private sector as they are in the public sector, depending on your specialty.
