Place the education section where it will maximize your chances of landing the job you are seeking. If it is your education that will best qualify you for the position, place it near the top of your resume below your objective statement. Conversely, place it nearer to the bottom of the page if your experience better demonstrates why you are a good candidate for the job.
List the name of the school(s) you attended in reverse chronological order, starting with the most recent school and working backward. Leave out your high school unless the school is particularly prestigious, or if you made significant achievements at that school that are relevant to the position you are seeking. Include your GPA if it is high enough that it would benefit you to do so and mention any activities or achievements at that school that will make you stand out to your potential employer.
Type listings for completed degrees using the following general format:
School name in bold, school city, state
Degree type in major name, minor name, graduation year
GPA, honors
