Inquire at local community colleges and technical schools about online programs for LPNs. More and more public schools are offering degree programs online or at least a majority of classes online. LPN training requires a lot of hands-on experience, so you may have to go on campus for some classes.
Research online schools to find out whether they offer an LPN program. Some online schools offer associate's degrees in the health sciences field that will allow you to take the state licensing exam to become an LPN. In this case, however, it will often take two years instead of one.
Review state licensing laws before enrolling in an online school. Make sure you will be eligible to take the licensing exam after you complete your schooling.
Apply to several different programs. LPN programs are competitive so you should apply to a few different online programs.
Take as many courses at a time as you are allowed in order to receive your degree in a shorter amount of time. Most LPN programs are two semesters. You must maintain good grades to remain enrolled in the program, so there is not much room for error.
