Online Film Colleges

A career in the motion picture industry can open the doors of opportunity in film, television, and animation. Professionals with film degrees can work as directors, editors, cinematographers, animators, or producers. According to Film School Online, there are over 360,000 jobs currently in the film industry, and average salaries for producers and directors are $41.30 per hour, and $41.54 per hour for multimedia artists and animators. Consequently, demand for online film education has increased the proliferation of degree options at some of the best film schools in the United States. For the busy go-getter who doesn't have time to make it to a local campus, there are several colleges which can make an online film education a reality.
  1. New York Film Academy

Students can earn a bachelor's degree by taking courses at select colleges which partner with the academy. All credits earned during the course of a film program can be transferred to most universities. In addition to film, the academy is also an acting school. Most film courses at the New York Film Academy require no prerequisites, but students must have a digital video camera and the ability to upload images.
