Capella University

• Capella University offers a vast array of online PhD programs from business to education, social and behavioral sciences, and public service. Students work closely with advisors and faculty members in choosing and developing their dissertations. Additionally, students are required to attend three- and four-day residential colloquia throughout their programs. These face-to-face sessions allow PhD students an opportunity to come together with their peers and faculty as they move through the program and work on their dissertations. • The University of Phoenix offers PhD programs in business/management, education, psychology and nursing/health care through its School of Advanced Studies. Doctoral students must complete a dissertation and, in some cases, fulfill residency requirements in order to graduate. The face-to-face residencies are held in select cities throughout the year at different points of the Ph.D. program and provide students with networking and collaborating opportunities. The Ph.D. programs, as with all the programs at University of Phoenix, are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and are designed for busy, working adults.
