New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies offers two graduate degree programs---a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and Development and a Master of Science in Management and Systems. Students have the opportunity to take the programs online, on campus or a combination of both. Core courses in the human resource management and development degree program include managing in a global economy, quantitative models for decision makers and financial management and organizational behavior. The management and systems degree program includes core topics such as project management in the information age, strategic marketing, and research process and methodology. SCPS also offers four graduate certificate online programs---Core Business Competencies, Enterprise Risk Management, Information Technologies and Strategy and Leadership.
Under NYU's SCPS Paul McGhee division, students have the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior and Communication or a Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Management Studies with a concentration on International Business, Human Resource Management or Organizational Management and Development. In order to complete these degrees, online candidates must have completed 40 to 64 credits at McGhee or another regionally accredited school. The division also offers existing McGhee students the chance to take online courses in healthcare management, social sciences, real estate, and leadership and management studies. The Paul McGhee division also offers an Associate in Arts degree that includes online courses. Students can also pursue licensure as a nursing home administrator via online study through this division of SCPS.
The School of Continuing and Professional Studies offers a variety of online continuing education courses including basic project management, beyond Twitter and Facebook, coaching practicum and introduction to online media. The school recommends the basic project management course for project management professionals with less than two years of experience. The course comes in eight sections and can be applied toward the certificate in project management.
NYU's SCPS offers three professional certificate online courses---certificate in financial planning, certificate in screenwriting and certificate in translation. The certificate in translation comes in seven language pairs including Arabic to English, French to English, German to English and Spanish to English plus a general translation study course.
