In the area of math education, Regis offers a Master of Education degree (M.Ed.) with a licensure endorsement in the field of mathematics for grades seven through 12. This degree program requires 42 credit hours for completion. Drexel University offers a third opportunity for students wanting to pursue a degree in math education online. Drexel offers a Master of Science in mathematics learning and teaching. For students who may already be teaching, but in a different field, the university offers a graduate studies certificate to teach math. Students may choose to pursue the certificate in order to increase marketability and the available fields in which they can teach. The master's degree program requires 40 credit hours. Of these, 10 hours consist of core education courses such as evaluation of instruction, multimedia in instructional design, and current research in curriculum and instruction. The remaining 30 credits consist of studies in mathematics education.
