Students complete the basic sciences in the Caribbean, and then complete the remainder of the program in the United States. Clinical clerkships for medical students are completed at hospitals in various cities around the U.S.
The American University of Antigua is located in the Caribbean. The medical degree is offered to students who complete the basic sciences as well as the clinical science curriculum. Students are able to complete the four-year degree in a shorter time due to the school's trimester system.
