The Boston University School of Medicine is another good medical college in Boston. The school was founded in 1873 and was the first coeducational medical school in the United States. It hosts a medical school, a dental school and a school of public health. The student body of all of the schools is about 3,000 and the faculty population is about 1,200.
The Tufts University School of Medicine is the third option for those who wish to attend a medical college in Boston. The school was established in 1893. In 2011, it had a full-time faculty complement of about 120, full-time clinical faculty of about 1,300 and about 1,000 interns and residents. There are several factors to consider when choosing a medical school in Boston. Your MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) score will play an important role as will your undergraduate coursework record.
