Ferris State University

• Based in Big Rapids, Michigan, with campuses statewide, Ferris State University offers students a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology degree. University of North Texas

• Located in Denton, Texas, about an hour northwest of Dallas, the University of North Texas offers a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology degree. The program requires students to complete a full-time clinical training program at a hospital or university laboratory lasting between 12 and 15 months. The university also has a career center which helps students with their search for employment.

University of Utah

• The University of Utah's Department of Pathology, located in Salt Lake City, offers a pair of programs in medical technology. The first is a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology degree program, the other a non-degree post-baccalaureate Medical Technology program. The latter is for graduates with a baccalaureate degree in biology, chemistry or microbiology. The programs seek to give students hands-on experience. The bachelor's program sets students up with an internship and boasts a 100 percent rate of placement of students in hospital and reference laboratory positions after graduation.
