What GPA do you need for medical school?
There's no single GPA requirement for medical school. Admission is highly competitive and depends on many factors beyond GPA, including MCAT score, research experience, extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and personal statement. However, successful applicants generally have a GPA of 3.7 or higher, and many schools average GPAs well above 3.8 for their matriculating classes. A GPA below 3.5 significantly reduces your chances of acceptance at most schools.
