Throughout the course of your degree, you will need to fulfill certain criteria in order to pass, and therefore graduate.

Instructions

Apply for a law course at the University of London. The university offers a range of options, depending on whether you have already completed your undergraduate studies, or if you are a non-degree holder. You can also apply for a diploma in law, which is taught by University of London-recognized institutions throughout the world. Depending on your course, and whether you study in London, or in an accredited institution throughout the world, the course fees will vary.

Fulfil the entry requirements for the university application, which will require you to have a competence in English, and good grades at school, or a degree from a recognized institution. For further information see the University of London Entrance Requirements.

    • 3

Pass your examinations in May or June each year. The University of London Law courses are not modular, but instead rely on progression, in that you will not be able to continue with your course unless you pass your examinations. Depending on the degree program you have chosen, this will continue every May or June for eight years.

Complete a dissertation in your final year if you are enrolled on a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) course. This will involve conducting research into a particular area of law, and producing a dissertation in the subject. This will need to achieve at least a pass grade for you to be able to graduate.

    • 5

Pass your final examinations, and then you will be given permission to graduate. You do not need to attend the graduation ceremony to graduate, and upon payment of any outstanding fees, you will be given your certificate.
