Since 1989, seamstress Dragana Edwards and her faculty have been offering sewing and pattern making classes. The school focuses on the Italian method of Alta Modea in addition to several industrial and Japanese techniques, although the school prides itself on creating the DKEMEL Pattern-making method. The school helps place fashion students in careers as dress-makers and fashion show tailors. Edwards affectionately refers to the informal style of her class as "Stitch 'n' Bitch", and the classes can be taken by professional women looking for a fun, part-time learning environment.
