Regis University offers special education degrees through its College for Professional Studies. Regis provides education leading to a bachelor's degree and licensure in the states of Wyoming, Nevada and Colorado. Special education programs vary according to the requirements of each of these states. The Colorado program results in a degree as a special-education generalist for grades K-12, while the Nevada program results in either a specialization in grades K-8 or a K-12 focus in teaching children with autism. The Wyoming licensure track is divided into several areas of specialization: early childhood, K-6 and secondary education (7-12). The secondary education specialization is further divided into subject areas such as social science and English. Regis also offers master's degrees in each of these areas. The university is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
