Loyalist College offers a biotechnology technician or technologist program for students who want to pursue either of these career fields. Either program will offer an Ontario College diploma. Students who take the three-year technology program, rather than the two-year technician course, will receive an advanced diploma.
Loyalist College also provides a third option: the one-year college certificate course. Students who complete these program will become certified as chemical laboratory assistants.
The campus holds five resident buildings for student living, a fitness center, several student labs, a library, bookstore and a cafeteria. Meals, daycare, tutoring, counseling and career services are all offered to Loyalist students.

The biotechnology technician program at the Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology awards an Ontario College Diploma at the end of two years' worth of study. An optional cooperative internship is also offered for students who'd like to work as well as attend classes.
Mohawk's biotechnology program offers course work in genetics, forensics, microbiology, clinical labs, pharmacology, human biology and other studies. Once students enter their final year of study, they will be eligible for enrollment in the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists.

Seneca College's York campus boasts a full biological science and applied chemistry building which offers several programs and classes for would-be biological technicians. Students at Seneca have full use of the campus library, bookstore, health center, learning center and cafeteria.
Seneca's biotechnology technologist (research) program spans six semesters, or three years, offering an Ontario College Advanced Diploma. Theoretical and practical course work are both integrated into the program. A co-op program is offered for students who want to work while they attend school.
