How to Find Out If a School Is Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools awards accreditation to educational institutions that meet their requirements. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is in charge of determining accreditation for 11 different Southern states (TX, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, SC, NC, TN, KY, VA). If you attend a school that is not accredited, you may fail to qualify for financial aid, be unable to transfer credits to other institutions and run the risk of your degree not being recognized by professional organizations.
