Purchase suggests that all applicants should have at least a high school GPA of 3.0. However, given other evidence of high academic achievement or advanced artistic talent, students with lower GPAs may be admitted.
Purchase recommends that applicants have at least a 1100 combined score on the Math and Critical Reading sections. As with the GPA requirement, students with lower scores may be admitted in exceptional circumstances.
Purchase accepts the ACT score in place of the SAT score but does not provide score targets for students.
Purchase expects students to have completed four years of English, three years of Math, three years of Laboratory Science, three years of Social Studies and two years of a foreign language. The College gives special notice to high achievement in advanced or AP courses.
Student applying to the School of the Arts will be required to submit additional materials based on their particular talents. High achievement in an artistic field can outweigh other admissions criteria in cases of exceptional talent.
