The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Railways run the Beijing Jiaotong University. The university stands on 73 acres and is in the Haidian District, which is China's home for higher education. The university has 12 departments. Some of the departments in the Beijing Jiaotong University are the School of Traffic and Transportation, School of Science, Department of Architecture and Art Design and School of Electrical Engineering. The school is one of the first universities in China to accept international students.
