There are many reasons to go to college in Florida, most notably the beautiful weather.     • Located in southern Florida, the University of Miami is a research college that is rich in professional opportunities. Since it is in Miami, the largest city in Florida, the college has multiple places where students can find internships. It has one of the strongest programs in the country for Business, garnering regular praise from publications like BusinessWeek and Wall Street Journal.     • The largest university in the state, and third-largest in the entire country (more than 49,000 students), the University of Florida offers students a wealth of cultural, social and educational opportunities. Located in Gainesville in northern Florida, this college town spawns much of Florida's subculture. The U.S. News and World Report ranked it 47th on its list of the best American colleges due to its strong academic standing, and the school regularly boasts over 200 National Merit Scholars. It also has one of the strongest athletic programs in the country, with multiple NCAA championship titles in various sports.
