With almost 16,000 students, the University of Central Oklahoma is the third largest school in the state. The University of Central Oklahoma offers 119 undergraduate majors and 63 minors. For graduate students, the Jackson College of Graduate Studies houses 31 degree programs and 54 areas of study. Colleges within the University of Central Oklahoma include Fine Arts and Design, Business Administration, Education, Liberal Arts, Mathematics and Science, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Pre-Professional Codes. The Jackson College of Graduate Studies has an enrollment of 1,700 students and offers master degrees in arts, business administration, education, fine arts, music and science. Students at the University of Central Oklahoma can join one of 19 fraternities and sororities, find volunteer and service learning opportunities at the Volunteer and Service Learning Center, and choose from over a hundred social, recreational, religious, cultural, academic and honorary student organizations. The Oklahoma Christian University’s website describes the school as “an innovative, challenging Christian university” with a “strong academic community committed to lives of faith and service.” Founded in 1950, Oklahoma Christian University now has 2,000 students on a 240-acre campus. Though the University is affiliated with the Churches of Christ, the school welcomes students “who respect the university’s commitment to academic and spiritual excellence and who respect the academic and spiritual pursuits of their fellow students.” Oklahoma Christian University offers over 60 undergraduate majors in 14 academic departments. These include Art and Design, Biology, Communication, Music, Nursing and Political Science. Four available graduate degrees include master of arts in ministry, master of divinity, master of business administration and master of science in engineering. Students can participate in over 60 student organizations, 16 intramural sports, and 13 collegiate sporting teams, like baseball, basketball, golf and soccer. Eighty percent of students live in the Oklahoma Christian University’s 11 residence halls and nine campus apartment complexes.

According to its website, Herbert W. Armstrong College was founded in 2001 as a “a privately supported co-educational institution” with the objective “to teach its students how to live.” A non-accredited college, Herbert W. Armstrong offers courses in theology, history, classic literature, language, social sciences, natural sciences, mathematics, music and physical education. The curriculum has a focus on the Christian bible. Two- and four-year diplomas in theology are available. Set on a 170-acre campus, Herbert W. Armstrong College has a multi-purpose center, library, weight room, student store, student lounges, and a women’s dormitory. According to the website, to be accepted, students must “show evidence of high moral character, intellectual promise, a positive, outflowing attitude, satisfactory health and a desire to learn.”
