The curriculum gives students a general business education combined with the demands of the contemporary music industry. The program prepares students for professional positions, including the distribution and retail of sheet music, record production and the performance industry. The curriculum is composed of general education and music business courses. It is enhanced with a series of guest speakers as well as career-focused projects throughout the school year. Students are placed in a variety of industry situations, which enable them to operate at Cane Records, a student-run university record label.
