Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) was established in 1985. According to the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, it was the best university in Pakistan to study business in 2006. The university is split into five departments: Computer Science, Mathematics, Law and Policy, Economics and Humanities and Social Sciences, which is overseen by 100 full-time faculty members. The Suleman Dawood School of Business at LUMS offers a BSc undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance, an MBA, an Executive MBA and a PhD in Management. The Economics Department also offers students a 4-year degree program in Economics, which as of 2010 was the most popular subject at the university, with close to 50% of students studying the subject at undergraduate or postgraduate level.

The Institute of Business Administration is based in Karachi and claims to be the oldest business school outside of North America, having been established in 1955. As of 2010, the university had 1,600 students studying in a range of bachelor's, master's and PhD programs, as well as the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and the MBA. The institute is split into six departments, including Economics, Marketing, Computer Studies, Social Science and Accounting and Law. Students benefit from the Institute's library, which holds more than 30,000 books related to business management. According to the Higher Education Authority of Pakistan, the Institute of Business Administration was the second best business university in Pakistan in 2006. There are also a variety of student bodies that provide activities such as volunteering charity work, athletics and sporting events, dramatic societies and public speaking societies.

Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) has campuses in Karachi, Islamabad, Larkana and Dubai. The university offers bachelor's, master's and PhD programs at its Karachi campus in disciplines including Computer Science, Management Sciences, Social Sciences and Economics, Media Sciences and Law. The Institute also offers MBA programs at its Islamabad and Dubai campuses. Students benefit from the library, which has a wide range of books on management sciences, academic journals and magazines and access to 12,500 online journals. According to the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, SZABIST was the third best business university in Pakistan in 2006.
