The Architecture Program at the University of Florida (UF) is the oldest and largest one in the state. The school offers a master's degree in architecture, a master's degree in architecture core and a master's of science in architectural studies in 2010. The School of Architecture is located within the College of Design, Construction and Planning. The college has other programs, such as building, construction and regional planning. Architecture students perform interdisciplinary research; they work with experts in ecology, engineering and anthropology among others. The school states that its programs focus on innovation, urbanity, sustainability and ecology.

Boston Architectural College (BAC) offers bachelors degrees in architecture, landscape architecture and interior design. Its mission is to provide excellent, affordable and practical design education. The college counts 300 faculty members and about 1,000 degree-seeking students. BAC students learn through an academic- and practice-based curricula. Students gain academic knowledge in the classroom and experiment in the field. Students attend classes in the evening and work during the day in different firms where they can apply the knowledge they gain in class. The college's stated purpose is to assist students in getting their licensure upon graduation and prepare them to respond to the needs of a multicultural community. Full-time tuition (six to 10 academic credits) costs about $8,000 in 2010.

The undergraduate degrees are either professional degrees (for licensure upon graduation), which require five years of studies, or preprofessional degrees (followed by a master's degree for licensure), which require four years of studies. The school in 2010 offers a bachelor in architecture, a bachelor of science in architectural studies, and a bachelor of architecture/bachelor of science in architectural engineering (dual program). The master's degrees are either professional (to register as an architect) or postprofessionals (to teach). The school offers a master's of architecture (postprofessional M. Arch II) and master's of architecture in sustainable design, urban design and preservation.
