According to math.illinoisstate.edu/actuary/undergrad, Illinois State University (ISU) offers a bachelor's degree program in actuarial science. The program focuses on mathematics courses which are taught in a high-technology environment. Students will study using up-to-date computer technology and programs, as well as projection devices.
Classes include applied probability and actuarial models, financial math, business finances, economics, statistics and data analysis, regression and time series analysis. Graduates will need to pass several professional actuarial exams given by actuarial organizations such as the Society of Actuaries. ISU offers intensive actuarial exam reviews. Five seminars are offered which cover exam topics such as probability, Markov and Poisson processes and life contingencies.
Purdue University's actuarial science degree is a combination of math and statistics. Graduates will earn a bachelors degree in actuarial science and may also have taken enough classes to earn a second degree in statistics. The degree program takes eight semesters to complete and is segmented into three plans of study; standard, high ability and exceptional high ability.
Studies include general courses in math, language and culture. Actuary classes include probability, regression, investments, micro and macro economics and actuary models. Purdue actuary science graduates will have knowledge to take up to five professional actuary exams, according to admissions.purdue.edu/Majors_Programs/majors_details.php?MjrCd=ACTRLSCI
Florida State University (FSU) Department of Mathematics offers a degree in actuarial science. The program focuses on math, statistics, economic and business concepts for insurance companies, government and consulting companies. General education courses are required in accounting, computer science and economics.
Students also take courses in risk management, insurance, finance, intro to actuarial math, differential equations and employee benefits plans. Course work is designed to not only teach actuarial science but help student gain skills and knowledge to pass professional actuarial exams, according to

Another help to students is the special seminars offered by the school which cover several of the professional actuarial exam topics. FSU also helps students find work before graduating by setting up meetings and presentations between the Florida State Student Actuarial Society and practicing actuaries.
