Specialization programs include chemical, civil, computer, industrial, manufacturing and mechanical engineering. The University of Memphis offers a bachelor's degree in engineering technology which is recognized by the Engineering Accreditation Commission and is 128-semester hours in length. Coursework includes physics, systems modeling, electronic communication systems and product realization. Applicants must provide a high school transcript or GED score report as well as the score report from the SAT or ACT exam. Admission to the engineering program has strict requirements, including a GPA of at least 2.5 and acceptable grades in prerequisite courses, such as calculus, chemistry of materials and manufacturing processes.
