Combined Nursing Degrees

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that nursing opportunities are expected to rise 22 percent through 2018. One way to jump-start a career in nursing is to seek a combined degree. A number of colleges offer concurrent programs, allowing students to graduate with two nursing designations. Registered nurses had a median salary of $62,450 in 2008, according to the BLS, and getting a combined degree may be just what the doctor ordered.
