This Canadian school offers a two-year part-time program leading to a certificate as an equine sports therapist. Courses include anatomy, saddle fitting, massage therapy, physiology, acupressure techniques, kinesiology and pathology. Applicants should already have extensive horse knowledge before entering the program. While living accommodations for students are unavailable, they may board their horses at the college. Classes are held once a month on Fridays and Saturdays for hands-on instruction. Four research projects are assigned and must be completed to receive certification.

This school specializes in training equine chiropractors. Because of statutory regulations in Great Britain regarding chiropractic treatment, graduates receive diplomas as animal manipulators. During the one-year course, students meet for tutorials each month for an entire weekend. Field trips to equine hospitals are scheduled. Students engage in both classroom study and hands-on work with horses, and assessment of their skills is ongoing during the course.

This course, consisting of six-day workshops held in Florida or Colorado, offers certification in equine massage. An additional 50 hours of field work is required for certification. Students spend 95 percent of their time working on horses. Students learn not only equine therapeutic massage techniques but correct saddle fitting, anatomy, physiology and analysis of performance issues. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have equine experience to be considered for the course.
