Rutgers, State University College of New Jersey, offers a bachelor of science degree in nursing for second-degree students who already have a baccalaureate degree or a master's degree in another area. Second-degree students may work on a master's degree simultaneously with their baccalaureate. If attending full-time, a master's degree at the College of Nursing can be completed in an additional two `to three semesters. The accelerated 14-month program begins in May and continues until graduation at the end of the following summer. The fast-paced, intense curriculum requires the student's full-time attention. To ensure program completion, students are assigned a faculty adviser.
