Accelerated Nursing Schools in South Jersey

Accelerated nursing programs are for students who have already received baccalaureate degrees in non-nursing majors. Depending on the school, programs differ in the necessary prerequisites and the time allotted to complete the degree. There are three accelerated nursing programs located in the southern part of New Jersey.
  1. Rutgers College of Nursing

    • Rutgers, State University College of New Jersey, offers a bachelor of science degree in nursing for second-degree students who already have a baccalaureate degree or a master's degree in another area. Second-degree students may work on a master's degree simultaneously with their baccalaureate. If attending full-time, a master's degree at the College of Nursing can be completed in an additional two `to three semesters. The accelerated 14-month program begins in May and continues until graduation at the end of the following summer. The fast-paced, intense curriculum requires the student's full-time attention. To ensure program completion, students are assigned a faculty adviser.
